How it works

  1. Enter your postcode — we work out which council collects your bins.
  2. Pick your address — collection days are address-specific.
  3. See your upcoming collections — general waste, recycling, garden and food waste dates at a glance.
  4. Add them to your calendar — Apple, Google or Outlook, with a reminder at 7pm the night before each collection.

Which councils are covered?

Bin Day UK checks bin collection days for more than 250 UK local authorities across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, including full native support for Leeds City Council. Whether you're looking for your general waste (black bin), recycling (green or blue bin), garden waste (brown bin) or food waste collection dates, enter your postcode and we'll pull the latest schedule straight from your council's data.

If your council isn't supported yet, we log your request so we can prioritise it — and we point you to your council's own bin collection page so you're never left guessing.
